Sean Patrick O'Brien is a US/Canadian artist based in Iceland. Their work is driven by the desire to explore and understand the world around us. His artistic investigation often delves into the realm of scientific experimentation, offering a perspective on art as a means of sharing naturally occurring phenomena. In the same spirit as "The Desire to Fly," an exhibition within Pálshús that celebrates the Icelandic bird flora and the human longing for the skies, Sean's work invites visitors of all ages to embark on a metaphorical flight, traversing realms of enchantment and discovery. Having pursued his artistic education at the Studio for Interrelated Media at the Massachusetts College of Art, Sean Patrick O'Brien obtained an MFA in Performing Arts from The Iceland University of the Arts in 2021. Currently based in Reykjavík, he has been actively involved in the Icelandic art and music scene in recent years and participated in various projects worldwide.
